BAUER Group Employee Afternoon: Hands-On Technology and Family Time

Schrobenhausen, Germany – Amid beautiful spring weather, this year’s employee afternoon took place on April 24 at the BAUER Group’s company grounds in Schrobenhausen. Numerous employees, along with their families, took the opportunity to combine their work environment with leisure time for a few hours. The focus was on a program designed entirely for children.

The grounds were bustling with activity all afternoon. The bouncy castle, carousel, swing boat, and mini-cars were just as popular as face painting, the photo booth, and the fan shop. A magic show drew a full house in the tent, and imaginative figures were created during the balloon modeling session.

The large machines in the roundabout area drew particular interest. They had been set up for the BAUER Maschinen Group’s in-house exhibition, which took place from April 16 to 18, and proved to be a crowd-pleaser at the employee afternoon as well. Many children took the opportunity to experience the machines up close and discover what their parents work with every day.

A drawing contest was part of the program for the first time. Numerous pictures were created in the Old Welding Shop. At the award ceremony in the late afternoon, the children received their applause and toy vouchers from the mascot of a Schrobenhausen toy store.

Another highlight was the children’s dance group, which had already performed at last year’s Bauer Movie Night. There was also time for conversations, a horse-drawn carriage ride, and a look behind the scenes.

In the end, the organizing team was very satisfied. “We’re delighted that we were able to create a wonderful afternoon for our employees’ families. Work and family life are often far apart in everyday life. With our staff afternoon, we consciously create a space for encounters and connection,” said Sabrina Fröhlich-Krammer, one of the main organizers.
